A few noteworthy inflection points in history include the day Johannes Gutenberg adapted his printing press for commercial application in 1455, with his famous 42-line Bible. Albert Einstein developed and published his Theory of General Relativity in 1905, but the true inflection point didn’t happen until May 29,1919 when a British astronomer used photography during a total solar eclipse to prove that Einstein had been correct in his understanding of our universe. The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour on December 7, 1941, the D-Day Invasion of Normandy on June 6,1944 and the September 11, 2001 attacks on America are just a handful of inflection points that forever changed the course of history.

My own understanding of our family history - inextricably interwoven with the great game of golf – are great roots to grow from. I am the proud son of a former pro golfer who was born 7 minutes from the first tee at The Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland. I am also a student of history dating back to when I was 7 years old and that obsession with sports history, military history, music history, art history has been a driving force to help any leader these insights to build Legends that are both Big & Little.
