ALLAN POWER – CHIEF TALENT EVALUATOR

Veteran hockey executive who now applies his talents in the world of corporate consulting, Allan Power leverages 40+ of pro scouting experience with the Chicago Black Hawks, Toronto Maple Leafs and as a general manager in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Inspired by methodology from NHL Central Scouting, Allan is the driving force behind the 7-ON-7 Website Evaluation Method, a 49-point assessment designed to analyze high level Brand Strategy from a CEO perspective. In many respects, Allan’s research and data patters from 7-ON-7 draws favorable comparisons to what Michael Lewis discovered with his 2003 best-selling book; analyzing brand strategy in much the same manner Wall Street economics were used to evaluate Oakland A’s baseball players in “Moneyball”.

A native of Moncton, NB, Allan was a grinding forward with the Universite of Moncton Blue Eagles and the 1975 Hardy Cup Champions, the Moncton Bears. Inspired by the legacy of UCLA basketball coach John Wooden, Alan routinely runs 10-kilometres a day and firmly believes that “process must come before the prize”. An avid reader, he counts Carol Dweck’s ‘Mindset’ and Pat Riley’s ‘The Winner Within’ among his favorite all-time books.
